Thunderbird Motel Yass is seeking a Casual Food & Beverage attendant to join our wonderful team to assist with our dinner service.
Renowned Ewe’n Me Restaurant lures diners to its peaceful and elegant oasis overlooking established gardens and a refreshing swimming pool, all which add to the ambience of relaxed dining. Local produce, passionate staff, moreish dishes rich in flavour and technique, on a new a la carte menu complete this dining experience. We welcome in-house guests and general public for our breakfast and dinner service.
As our next Food & Beverage Attendant, you will:
- Be confident in your ability to help customers and have excellent communication skills
- Take food & beverage orders and run food & drinks
- Set up and pack down the restaurant and bar area following service periods
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner and with a high standard of customer service
- Maintain and follow health, safety, and security procedures at all times
- Always present yourself in a professional manner while retaining a high regard for personal grooming.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Passion and enthusiasm for work in the hospitality and food industry
- A valid RSA Certificate
- Exceptional organisation and communicative skills
- Available Tuesday to Saturday Evenings

Thunderbird Motel Yass - Casual Housekeeper
Thunderbird Motel Yass is seeking the services of a friendly and reliable, Housekeeping Room Attendant to join the team on a casual basis.
Thunderbird Motel offers clean, modern, comfortable rooms and warm country hospitality. Situated in the heart of historic Yass, only 45 mins from Canberra, the Thunderbird Motel is centrally located with a variety of rooms, suites and self-contained cottages.
The Role;
- Service and clean assigned guest rooms ensuring that rooms are presented to the hotel standard.
- Have the ability to work both solo and as part of a team.
- Handle all, cleaning chemicals and equipment according to WHS standards.
- Assist with other duties in the housekeeping department as required.
- Have great attention to detail and take pride in what you do.
- Adhere to hotel and company policies and procedures.
Who we are looking for:
- Previous experience is highly desirable but not required as training will be provided.
- Capacity to work in a very physical role.
- Ability to work fast and thoroughly.
- Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality.
- The flexibility to work over a seven-day roster.

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and career-focused Head Chef to lead our Kitchen team at Peninsula Boutique Hotel.
Located in beautiful Port Douglas along the shores of 4 Mile Beach lies Peninsula Port Douglas. Our resort is an adult-only boutique hotel catering to the high-end market. Hi Tide Restaurant is situated within the resort and offers fresh modern Australian cuisine.
As our next Head Chef reporting directly to the General Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation
- Planning of menus, estimating food & labour cost + ordering
- Recruit of all kitchen staff
- Roster team members while interpreting and acting upon financial information
- Develop external relationships with appropriate suppliers
- Analyse competitors & market trends while providing constant & consistent development of the menu
- Have extraordinary culinary flair and a motivating leadership style to support your team. Ensure high quality and presentation of food provided to guests, according to property standards and timeframes of service
- Maintain a safe clean and organised work environment with emphasis on high food safety standards
What we are looking for:
- A chef with previous experience in an a la carte environment
- Someone with a confident, modern, and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation
- A strong understanding of food cost and control
- Experience in month-end stock take
- A flexible approach in adapting to guest requests
- Great communication skills and ability to develop a motivate a team
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
